Great book。 Tells real lifie behind the scenes of being a judge。 Love reading real life stories。

LaDoris Hazzard Cordell’s memoir “Her Honor” explores not only her experience on being the first African American female judge in Northern California, but our legal system and what’s wrong with it。 I found her stories so captivating。

3。5 stars。 Sometimes I got too bogged down in the legalese with this one, but I definitely learned a lot。 Judge Cordell had an incredible career, and so many stories to tell。 I especially liked how after she retired, she is still trying to change the system this time from the outside。
